Mi-Clos Studio at Game Camp 2021
On September 27th and 28th, the 4th edition of the GameCamp was held in Lille and Mi-Clos had the chance to participate.
Let’s take a look at these two days in the heart of the video game industry.
The GameCamp is an event created in 2017 by the French syndicat of video games (Syndicat national du jeu vidéo – SNJV) and co-organized in the Hauts-de-France region by Game In.
Through conferences and workshops, video game professionals gather to present their projects, games or ideas.
The first face-to-face event since the health crisis, this 2021 edition was marked by meetings, but above all reunions.
At Mi-Clos, we went with Mélanie, Mado, Michael and Hugo to attend the conferences.
Whether it was Game Design with the creative vision of The Gamebaker or the diversification of the Level Design of Arkane; marketing with the post-launch strategy of Shiro Games or Narrative Design with the sound to tell a story of DigixArt, we were able to follow a multitude of very interesting and enriching conferences.
We also attended the evening where the donations from the sale of artwork were donated to the scholarship Bourse JV to support the studies of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The GameCamp is also a place to meet and get together.
We were able to meet up with Goblinz Studio and Old Skull Games, have lunch with Midnight Circus Games, say hello to Polycorne and meet our neighbors from GameOnly.
These few days of exchange and cohesion allow us to come back more determined than ever.
We look forward to many more events and to presenting Out There: Oceans of Time and many other games.
